The opening ceremony of the House of Azerbaijan was held in Alexandria, Virginia, USA. The event, attended by members of the Azerbaijani diaspora, local community representatives, and various organizations, began with a traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony. Sevda Tahirli, co-founder of the Azerbaijan Association, welcomed the guests and spoke about the active engagement of the Azerbaijani community in the area. She noted that the opening of the House of Azerbaijan is a great gift for our community in the United States. Chairman of the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora, Fuad Muradov, congratulated compatriots on this remarkable occasion, describing the establishment of the House of Azerbaijan as an important milestone that will further strengthen community engagement. Togrul Aliyev, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the United States, also extended his congratulations on the creation of the House of Azerbaijan and wished continued success to the Azerbaijani diaspora. In the speeches, the importance of promoting the Azerbaijani language, history, and culture, as well as encouraging youth participation in diaspora activities, was emphasized. It was expressed with confidence that the House of Azerbaijan will make a valuable contribution to these efforts in the future. Following the opening ceremony, a meeting was held with members of the Azerbaijani community in Virginia. The meeting began with the national anthems of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United States, and the participants honored the memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country.
