A Commemoration Day event was held in the state of Virginia, USA, organized by Azerbaijan House and sponsored by Baku Delicious.

Throughout the day, memorial meals were distributed to more than 100 people in honor of our martyrs. In particular, foreign visitors were provided with detailed information about the significance and history of this day, and films about our national heroes were screened.

From 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, our compatriots gathered to watch the films “Seven Moments of Polad” and “We”, sharing their emotions and reflections together.

The event was attended by officials from the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the United States, members of the Azerbaijani community from Virginia and Washington, D.C., as well as representatives of other diaspora groups who are friends of our community. A family member (sister) of National Hero Polad Hashimov also joined the event via video call, sharing her thoughts with the community.

This program marked the first official event of the newly established Azerbaijan House and the fourth such event organized by Baku Delicious. This year, the two organizations united their efforts to hold the commemoration on a larger scale.
